Optional blog

Think of this blog as a kind of support group or intellectual exchange. It is completely optional. If I don't see anything posted here that is fine. However, I asked you yesterday to read an article on the use of the Anne Frank Diary by Holocaust deniers. And I asked you to do some independent research into Holocaust denial in general. What you read may have disturbed you. It always does me. If you want to share your thoughts, you can do it here.

  1. Denial of the Holocaust is ridiculous to me. There is so much evidence present in the world of what happened. I can not and never will be able to understand how people can convince themselves to deny the Holocaust. The use of Anne Franks diary comes up a lot in this subject. Deniers say that the different versions of the diary is evidence that it did not exist, and that the diary was written in pen and pens did not exist at this time. All absurd illogical thinking. I do not consider Anne Frank's diary a book about the Holocaust. It was written by a girl that was a victim of the Holocaust. I think that the misconception of her diary only aids these deniers. For people that read and understand the context of the diary, they should know better. Personally, denial of the Holocaust only shows ignorance. All of the footage and pictures, the museums, personal testimonies, and the concentration camps that are toured today lead to an insurmountable amount of evidence for the existence of the Holocaust.
